Before You Apply

A practical order of operations.

1. Check the City rules first

Confirm the property type, eligible work, contractor licence requirements, documentation, and timing before work begins.

2. Get more than one quote

The City recommends due diligence before hiring. For resale planning, the quote also helps separate necessary protection from cosmetic renovation drift.

3. Keep every document

Invoices, permits, photos, contractor licence details, and paid-in-full proof can matter when the application is reviewed.
